2005 V70 2.4D 163bhp for sale
Hi,
Would anyone be interested in this? If not, it will be PX’d on Saturday. It’s done 205k miles and at least one rocker has started to wear out. Also, the HU-850 radio died and the anti-skid system has never worked, possibly due to a corroded connector under the scuttle panel. Euro 4 engine with DPF delete. Otherwise well looked after for the 6 years I’ve owned it. Parts bill fof DYI replacing rockers is £1155, which is why I’m replacing it :-( Can supply photos if anyone is interested. Thanks

Does it get through MOT without a DPF?

Yes, not a requirement. Quite common to not have a DPF.

Would it make more sense to break the car up rather than PX it for £5-600? Any interest?

PM Minty on the Forum perhaps - I think he's one of the resident breakers
ETA Or Graham at Horton Cars, who might want it, perhaps? Last edited by Bonefishblues; Nov 2nd, 2017 at 17:12. |

It's an MOT fail to remove a DPF from a car thus equipped from new.
If it's passed an MOT, I'd guess the DPF casing is still present, albeit with no filter inside. At present, the tester can only do a visual check that the DPF appears to be present.
