Default Etm AGAIN!!

Sorry to bang on about the etm problems, seems to be very common on here!. Anyways just a question for those who've had the software upgrade, did you notice any significant changes in performance after having it done? Had mine done last week at the same time had the MAF sensor replaced, its come back a totally different car. Not too sure if this is down to the MAF sensor but i now have far far more power than before, on the flip side of this fuel consumption is down from 31mpg to just over 27mpg. I can live with that as i do few miles, just after others thoughts really. Its an s60 t5 btw

The ETM s/w upgrade involves a full ECU reset, so your car is in learning mode again - which will explain the increased fuel consumption. Mine dropped too after ETM upgrade, but gradually has recovered.

Regards,
Tim.

Hi.
Had my 2000 V70 Classic (120K) done last month. I think I may have lost 1 or 2 mpg, but I have noticed it seems to be quicker off the mark and its great not worrying about it stalling on idle. I suppose you don't run something the size of a V70 if your worried about MPG - but it would be nice to get the right side of 30.
