S40 Engine Management Light

1999 S40 SD. The orange Engine Management Light is illumiated on the dash. I have taken to Volvo for diagnostic which reported that it is a fault with the Glowplug Relay however Volvo advised it was almost certain to be a wire loom fault behind the radiator.

I have removed the radiator and sheaving around the loom to find all the wires intact and little sign off wiring corrosion? I have moved all the wires and disconnected and reconnected all the plug to find the engine management still on?

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Hi,

Apparently the wiring under the Rad is a known issue on the 40's cars.
Not an expert myself on this but it has been mentioned and found as a source of a number of issues.

If the car is under warranty get the loom section changed. . .
