Default Automatic Transmission issues

Had an automatic transmission reconditioned on my 2005 XC90 140k after major issues with the car selecting drive, moving off and then loose sense of what gear the car was in.
After rebuild the car has been driving fine up until last week, probably only 300miles.
A light came on to say transmission service required, and anti skid service required last week but After turning the car off this has gone away but came back in today and hasn’t gone off.
Now the car will drive, selects drive and selects 2nd gear harshly it’s also slow to move off and - appears on the dashboard instead of D. It won’t register that it’s selecting Park from drive as the gear light indicator drive light stays on but allows me to take the keys out and turn off.

I understand they reconditioned the gearbox and torque converter.
What else could be wrong that all the issues seems sorted and the gremlins have reappeared?
I’m not and expert mechanic.

Hi There,

I would strongly suggest you go back to the garage that did the work - there will be error codes stored which may help and there is still something wrong with it - have they "fully reconditioned" the gearbox to "as new" tolerances or just repaired the original fault?

It might be worth checking that the electrical connectors for the gearbox haven’t come apart or not quite making connection - you will find them under the air filter...
