Default 850 Climate Control

I do not get any heat to either footwell in my '96 850 T5 estate. The air conditioning needs sorting out as well and my main agent has quoted up to £900 to repair. However cold feet is my immediate problem. I read somewhere about 're-calibrating' the vents. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a simple repair - or should I start saving hard ?

Has the car got ECC or Manual?
If ECC, are the rec/ac lights flashing?

Hi Chris,

It's got Electronic Climate Control, but no lights are flashing. Basically the system works fine, except the footwell flaps don't open.

It would seem that the floor/defrost damper has become jammed or detached from the drive motor somehow. So it looks like a strip down and investigate job, sorry I'm unable to help further.
