Technician's dipstick
2015 V70 D5 Manual :
I have found the technicians dipstick, but is there a special technique to removing it?? I have tried to simply pull it out, pull and twist, looked for some form of catch, but despite my efforts it does not want to come out. Do I need to "man up" and just haul it out?. The plastic top feels as if it would snap off if I really hauled on it. I simple ask here if there is a technique will same me £££ if I haul it out and smash something. Cheers Bob |

Basically it's a sharp tug and smash your knuckles on the engine.
Mine was stiff at first but became easier with use until I tired of dirty shirt cuffs and fitted a full size one. Paul. |

As long as the technician didn't mind having his dipstick given a sharp tug
