Smile keyless locking reciever

Hi everyone

I am new to the forum and I am hoping that someone may be able to help. I am trying to find the keyless central locking reciever , the volvo repair discs that I have tell me to check the resistance on the earth of the reciever plug no5 . I have searched all the obvious places ie; next to the central locking relay, alarm relay and in the fuse box but cannot find it . it may be some where so simple to find but am now blind from looking , soooo please help.
thanks

Hi when I bought the car I was not given a key fob , i have just bought a keyfob tried to program it with no joy , looked on my mitchell system and started fault finding hence now I am trying to find the reciever . I am also presuming that all 850's in 94 were fitted with a keyless fob , I may be wrong.

the red relay which you have, means youre alarm is the type which is armed/disarmed on the key rather by remote.

if you can source one of the black relays (which one depends on the code number of the fob you have bought) you can program youre remote to work then.

the main thing is to determine the code/part number of the remote you have bought, then you or volvo will know which relay to supply you with.
