Default Great touring car!

Hi, new to this forum, so hope Im not repeating other similar comments!
Bought our XC60 D4 SE nav new last March and its been superb!

We did 3500 miles around the south of France National parks last year and have just completed another 3700 miles around the Alps, a sort of passes and lakes tour!
The car is only 2 wheel drive and has the smaller wheels/ bigger tyres for comfort, but crossed some difficult terrain with ease, including one to Mont Crostis that a donkey would have had trouble with.

The only downsides were the nav system, which, generally correct, like the human nav, seemed to be asleep on the job at times, and secondly, the fact that both the dash cam and the nav's iphone both blew up while on charge plugged into the sockets in the cabin.
Could be coincidence, and my phone was ok, but has anyone had anything similar?

The nav system has the last map update, but on several occasions seemed to be off position by more than 200M and was showing a location on a nearby road. Spotted and cured by careful map reading, but a real nuisance when you are about to follow a road (or long tunnel) with no possible re route for miles.
Strangely the map layout as displayed on screen was actually correct.
There were also several times when the map advised a turn, but the voiced instruction was opposite!
Not what you want at an island where Italian drivers will spot a gap and fill it!
We have had cars with Here maps previously and are aware of their shortcomings, but not had this before.
Also no roof rack etc to get in the way on this trip.
Does anyone know if there have been any problems with the gps system or perhaps the aerial in these cars that might be dealer fixable?
Any information gladly received,
many thanks! Alan
