850 info

I have seen an 850 in a garage near where i work, under a blanket, i have deduced from mot history and mid its a 49k miler not tested or taxed since 2009, can anyone get model info from a Reg no?

I dont know, i can only see the grill,lights no plate and a grey blanket, i was trying to gather some more info before i go and knock on the door.

I do know its a 2ltr petrol and its burgundy and very very shiney

if its an estate i will try and buy it.

if its a saloon someone will want it. We still very pleased with our no miler after several years. 2 litre not the fastest but a good example is a nice car

Today the garage light was on, nobody to be seen, but it has no roof rails so saloon? and colour coded bumpers with spots. I go past at least 5 times a day, one time i must see someone in the garden, i hope.

Quite a lot of the estates didn't have roof rails, in fact estates with them might even be in the minority.

No. Without is the minority. The vast vast majority had them. Mine doesn't, and mine are cracked - finding replacement ones without rails is impossible. In 8 months of breaker cars, scrap cars and cars for sale I've yet to see a single other one without the rails.

Three of the running 850 estates and three of the breakers on eBay just now don't have rails.

an 850 with low miles under a blanket is someones pride and joy . i dont think he will let it go but you might get lucky

Which is still the vast minority compared to the number of 850 estates for sale and breaking. Although thanks for reminding me to check eBay again, might finally be able to replace mine.
