C30 diesel issues

I have a 59 plate diesel C30.
At 70 mph on cruise control it lost power and crawled to a standstill.
I was able to start it again. It will go up to around 3200 but cut off at higher revs.
It hasn't been used for a few days before hand and was filled with diesel before the journey.

Dpf fairly recently cleaned / refurbed
It is clearly in limp mode but no lights, messages or warning signs to tell me why.
Any guidencee on what to check.

When was the fuel filter last changed ? you did not mention which engine but the 1600 is most prone to blocked fuel filters .
