Hi, would you think a shipping container might be suitable as a general garage (as opposed to a storage solution)? I'm having a difficult time finding a secure garage to rent in Sheffield but have been offered the use of a shipping container. I'd not be using the car every day (P1800) but am thinking it'll be rather tight getting in and out of it with the door open....

Does the container measure 8’ inside or outside measurement?
1800’s are 67” wide.

Beware of condensation if you use a shipping container.

Was there not someone, couple of years or so ago in the Norfolk area offering storage for classic cars, and if I remember rightly it was free of charge. Perhaps you can remember, Robert.

Sadly it's mostly terraced houses and those that did have garages have mostly turned them into extra living rooms. Garages are a very rare commodity in these parts. I've spoken to the couple of people who do have them and they're just not up for it

I think I'm scrapping the idea as it looks too tight to get in and out easily enough ...
