1956 PV444 Barn Find. (Previously Posted on Showroom)
This vehicle was previously posted on Showroom Forum, 66 views, 1 thank you, no response. Last chance saloon for anyone interested.
I have hopefully attached 3 photographs of a somewhat tired PV444 dating from 1956. The vehicle belongs to a gentleman who has been restoring cars for many years and is now in his 70's. This one is, in his opinion, too much to take on and complete in his lifetime and reluctantly wishes to pass it on to someone who cares or someone who would recycle the good bits to save others. The car comes with, I understand, 2 engines and 2 gearboxes. 1 engine has been honed/ground as required and comes with new pistons, rings gasket sets etc. I don't think the valves have been done for unleaded if they require doing. There is just about enough brightwork for 2 cars and shelves of other model related spares as yet unlisted. The photographs do not clearly show the extent of bodywork corrosion but it is fair to say that the 50% of the floor, boot floor, lower inner wings and sills are absent. The outer wings are remarkably good. The "knitted" grey/blue interior is amazing considering the age of the vehicle whilst the headlining is complete but fragile and grubby. The car has all required documents including V5 and sports an age related plate for 1956. The car came into the UK in the mid 1990's. I am not looking to sell and make profit and I am too busy to entertain too much involvement but would be happy to introduce any interested club member to the owner and see if this car/spares can be saved from the boneyard. The vehicle in stored in Shropshire UK. Thanks for reading. |

OK, thanks. It would be a shame to break the car up.

Sorry I am not mature enough to be allowed to respond to your valued enquiry via PM's. Apparently under section xx roman numerals xx, I haven't posted enough to allow me entry to the upper table. I think half a dozen should be a sensible starting point, if you get my drift. If you PM me with your email address I'll elaborate.
Kind regards |
