  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

I don't think it's anything to do with the engine used. My first S60 D5 MY 2002, and my current V70 D5 MY 2003 both had/has aluminium wishbones. From what I can ascertain they changed over in 2007 and they aren't interchangeable. Although registered in June 2007 my S60 is classed as MY2008. Maybe that's the difference. Either way anybody replacing them needs to know which type they are. One disadvantage of the steel ones is the rubber steering limiters are riveted to the control arm so it isn't such an easy job to swap them side to side to even out the wear. The steel ones do seem to last longer, however, as mine are now at 132K miles with no obvious evidence of serious deterioration.
I think this has moved too far off the original query by GaryS40 to continue in this thread.
