They duly swapped the drivers seat covering with no issue and its since holding up well.

Here's mine, 7000 miles and just coming up to one year old. I've been very careful since seeing posts about seat wear on here and still this is the result.

My previous vehicle, with very similar side bolsters, was not much worse than this after 150k miles. Seems like these seats are very fragile and not really fit for purpose. Needless to say I'll be raising this issue when I take it for it's first service in a week or two.

Wow.. You people are either wearing steel-wool pants or carry all your keys on a belt clip

True, nu11ef, the bolsters are a bit high - but still- this shouldn’t be happening..

I admit I clean my leather at least 3x/yr (lukewarm water & microfiber) and feed it with Sonax leather care each time I clean it- but other than that- I am not being extra gentle with my seats- and honestly- they are no different from the day I got the car.

XC60 here, MY18, production week 46, 2017.
My seats are nothing like that. At the time I ordered mine, you could get the sports seats with full leather upholstry (Moritz leather, not the nappa). I was never a fan of alcantara, and with kids, the full leather is easier to maintain. It has a slight structure to it, and is generally not as soft as the nappa, but it is very durable. Sports seats, almost two years in (47.000 km's), and it is only the lower left thigh bolster on the driver seat that shows signs of wear. Well, not exactly wear as shown in some of the pictures in this thread, but more in the sense of the patina the leather will take, because of me getting in and out, putting pressure on the bolster. Rest of the leather interior is in mint condition...and that is with using child seats etc. as well. To me, the Moritz leather, even though presented as the discount leather, was a far better solution than alcantara and/or nappa.

I agree on the complaints though. Premium seats should not look like that after such a short while.

Not funny man... not funny... 🤔🤭😅

As you all could see in my photos there is no big drama because it is just a little wear more into the lower part of left bolster but even so... i ask myself... if it already shows sign of wear with near 30.000Km and eleven months, how will it look like in 3 or 4 years from now??! You tell me Volvo! How!??
