CEM failure?
This morning I unlocked the car with the key fob, got in and put key in the ignition. I heard the steering lock release and I had a flicker of the lights come on before it all went totally dead.
Now there seems to be no power getting to anything at all. There’s no mileage display on the dash, no entertainment etc, almost as if the battery has been disconnected. I had a new battery fitted earlier this year and the garage replaced the connections as they had perished apparently. So I assume that either there is a terminal off at the battery or there’s a more significant electronic issue which will render the car scrap at this point. Any suggestions beyond checking the battery and cleaning the CEM terminals? |

Always worth checking the CEM connections are seated properly and are clean in these situations, as well as the battery of course.
