Default New Stereo

I am having to replace my stereo as it is proving unable to repair the original.
My car has the HU-850 with the amp under the seat.
What is the best option as I have a choice of Double Din or Single Din Stereos that I already own.
What should I buy and what connectors do I need to connect it to my amp?

Would like to keep the cup holder but all the fascias I have seen delete this for some reason.

Cheers

The fascia isn't wide enough for a 2din stereo with the cup holder still there.
As for wiring I used volvotech adapter and leads to connect my kenwood. It's the only system I've seen that retains the steering wheel controls, the reverse beeper and the speed sensitive volume and lighting and reverse switch functionality

What exact kenwood stereo, fascia and connectors did you use?

Thanks

it will soon add up if you want to keep the steering wheel controls, you need a HU lead and a car specific lead as well as the normal stuff - head unit, fascia adapter, amp lead.

ask yourself is it really needed to have the steering contrl?

The interface unit from volvotech
https://www.v-division.com/v70/v70-2005-2007/ci-p2
I can't remember which fascia i used but the radio is a Kenwood ddx4021bt,
I also had to get an antenna adapter.
Edit, i do know that the Connects 2 fascia is bloody awful, it wont fit properly, iirc i had to buy a scosche one to get proper fit, the colour isnt exact but is near enough that makes no odds to me.
Edit again: I checked my ebay history, it was this metra fascia i used https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Metra-99-922...72.m2749.l2649
