Default Vacuum pump

Hello

Found a fault with my vacuum pump. Shows a vacuum reading, but the needle doesn’t remain steady.

Repair (try and find a reasonably priced repair kit) or replace (second hand from a breaker)

Thoughts? Experience?

Thank you

the vacuum pump produces pulses of vacuum so will never be perfectly stable , what was the best vacuum you got from the pump ? Should be as near to 28 in/Hg as it can get.

It was high , can’t remember exact figure. Will check again.

From watching sirobb video it displayed it as perfectly stable. And flickering demonstrated a leak.....

I’ll change it last, see if problem persists before changing
