Default 96 945. Glass sunroof and lining.

Hi All, Will the above fit an 87 745 . Current manual sunroof and lining are knackered and I think this might be a nice up grade.

If you wear glasses for driving, stick to the steel one and sort it out.

If you do go for the glass 940 sunroof, i'm fairly sure you'll also need the sunroof mechanism, the "bed" is sits in, headlining and the trim ring/seal around the sunrrof bed to headlining.

I don't know if yours is electric or if the donor car is but again, you'll likely need the bits from the donor car to make it work, whether that's the handle or the motor and wiring.

As for whether it'll fit or not, if you have access to the glass panel, measure it and comare to your 745 panel. Also be aware that they may be slightly different shapes.

All sorts of things to think about sizewise.

From experience I can say a metal motorised lid versus none on a 745 the headliners whilst the same overall in size are totally different depthwise in places due to concealing the control box and shifting mechanism .... and that excludes the size of the hole.

Even the sunvisor fixing brackets are a different depth and some of the roof fixings are likely to be slightly different in places. That doesn't mean it's impossible to do just make sure you work it out ... as you are trying to do. Bob
