In general, plus one for Volvo dealer supplied exhaust systems. Although. I understand they had "quality difficulties" with exhausts for some models in the recent past so beware? Choose a good helpful dealer. Always best init.

Stephen - i think you'll find it was James having trouble with the bank and reversing into it in post #14 :

Totally agree it's better to reverse into parking spaces, especially in this kind of weather where there's a good chance of the windows misting up while you're away. Reversing can be difficult at the best of times but with misted up rear windows, nigh on impossible.

Strangely i observed a driver in a supermakrket car park yesterday drive into a space, shunt 2-3 times to get it precisely perfect (in their view at least) then abandon the vehicle to go and do their shopping.

Not much strange in that you might think but the adjoining slot was empty so the driver could literally have driven straight through so getting out would have been much easier.

Aaah, but maybe he/she was going to collect a load of toilet rolls together with other 'essentials', and wanted to have easy access to the boot/cargo area. Bob

Not a snowball in hells chance Bob, i took a photo (deleted it from the PC now so would have to re-upload it) of the bare shelves where the trolls (toilet rolls) are normally to be found.

I've seen so many people park like that and still reverse out even when they could have driven out it's unreal, someone must be teaching them "drive in, reverse out" is the ONLY way of doing it and they don't use intiative to realise they could make their lives easier.

My first Jag suffered a smashed headlight shortly after i got it on the road, post-restoration because of one such person, i could actually see the tyre tracks from where they'd been parked reversing out of the space they were in - there were only 2 cars in that car park at the time, mine and theirs!
