Yeah, the forum search won't let you search for a word of 3 letters or less.

You can use Google to target just these forums, though. Try a Google search for:

site:www.volvoforums.org.uk aux v50

And it will return results just from volvoforums.org.uk

Default My BLP 990A woes

I finally got my BLP 990A unit and took it to a reputable installer here in Orlando. He had to try to install it twice because my car has the amplifier in it and the directions weren't clear to him. I picked it up and drove it home. I have 2 major problems and am hoping you can help me tell him what he did wrong.

The 3 USB ports in the glove box (that came on Harness A) charge but don't do any data. I have tried both IPhones and Androids

There is a stuck old screen from my old display unit sitting in front of the brand new display, the one that has the temperature, the time and the fan speed.

Any and all ideas are appreciated.

Margaret

Not sure if they are running or not but not answering emails is quite normal, I'm still waiting a reply from a request sent 5 years ago!

it's a sell and forget android ****box, so don't expect any support. It does what it does and at a hefty price. I'd say find work arounds with existing stereo to acheive what you want, it will be less of a headache

well true but its the only integrated solution, i had planned to use a tablet for navigation stuff and a mirror screen to attach a parking camera to but was haing trouble mounting a tablet, the pitted dash material ment nothing would stick to it.

but.... yeah that ive tried to get them to respond to a question deosnt make me feel confident in buuying one from them especially given its price and then need to get it installed by someone.

you can get a mount that slots into the CD slot. obviously you lose that function and obscures existing display, but it works quite well

they made a piece of junk on the cheap, and people bought it as they were the only game in town. if youre gonna spend that kind of money, get a grom and figure your own mounting system for a tablet. The blupower is not good
