960 Glove Box Bulb Replacement
The bulb has died in the glovebox of my 1996 960 SE estate. Can the bulb be changed easily or do I need to remove the glovebox to get access??

Des, should my V90 CD have a glove compartment that lights up, because it never has?
Cheers, Jeff.

If you can see a switch that the glovebox door closes on to, then yes. Otherwise, eat more carrots....

Hi,
Quote:
I am sure that there is a light in the glove box for all the 960's... This was the top-of-the-range car remember.. You have lights on the vanity mirrors on the backs of the sun visors? Then you should deffo have a light in the glove box.. Des. . .

Thanks for the info. I managed to get the glovebox out but the fixings were a little bit different on the 1996 960 compared to my old (91) 940. The 1996 960 Glovebox is held in with 4 screws and you also need to loosen the trim panel underneath to slide the glove box out. Once the glovebox is out of the way it was fairly easy to remove the clip and lamp assembly and change the bulb.
