Default Sourcing the correct cam cover gasket

Hi All

I'm having some trouble sourcing the correct cam cover gasket for my 97 V70TDI.

The trouble is that the ones that seem to be listed for it are the wrong shape, is there some way i can ensure i get the correct one. I gave the correct reg number and engine number to the seller but still got the wrong part. All i can find are D5252T versions whereas mine (i believe) should be a J033344T.

Evening Itchy, have a look for a VW LT 35 one. Part no. (VW) 074103469 f/p. Possibly the one you are looking for. if so get a genuine VW one. is there still a VW dealer in Wal.X?

Regards,Keith. (ex.Cheshunt)

Default Update

Thanks guys.

It was the LT35 one that fitted, couldn't get through to FRF (no email, only phone number which no one seemed to be answering) fell out with VW/Audi long time back (won't bore you with why ) ended up getting one from Euro car parts, slightly different but fitted ok and seems to be working (i'll check for leaks tomoz).

On another note, i was refunded for the one from Ebay (in photo) but told to keep it so if anyone can make use of it and don't mind a trip to Hoddesdon they'll be welcome to it, it's from BG Automotive part no RC2307.
