S60R 2014 suspension top bearing
Hi all,
Our S60 has a pinging noise coming from the nearside strut top when turning the steering. I'm pretty sure the bearing is shot. I've had a quick look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eD6JbTb5SfI and I'm wondering... Is it possible to replace the strut top bearing and mount without taking off the entire shock assembly? My background is mostly old British Leyland stuff, as such I have tools, spring compressors, etc - Is it possible avoid taking the hub off, and just compress the spring in-situ and put new mount and bearing on? Also, should I order a bearing on its own as per https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173578371310 or go for the full mount and bearing as per https://www.autodoc.co.uk/bilstein/7012707 Cheers Kyle |
