Did you get the 850t5r bumper with it aswell?

Small update after the weekend. Firstly, LEDs and burglar alarm cable have been ordered so I can make a fault code reader. Haynes manual also on its was as well as some cheap and cheerful hub caps so I don’t have to look at the rusty wheels and nuts. Longer term I’ll go alloys but not before going through and sorting the rest of the car first.

So I’ve spent the time waiting for these things by starting the cleaning process, which will be a long but I think rewarding journey. Just a couple of pics showing the interior switch area where I unfortunately didn’t take a before pic but trust me it was filthy, like biohazard filthy, then the front bumper where I applied some plastic treatment and then where I gave the little headlight wipers a good sanding and a cost of satin black from a rattle can. Small things but it’s really helped lift the car a bit.

Unfortunately not! Would have been nice this bumper must be the most basic as it doesn’t even have fog lights!

That's well worth £15

Have to agree that's £15 well spent, you could easily spend 10 times as much for some scruffy secondhand alloys.

Thanks guys. It is not my long term plan to have it steelies and hub caps but while I concentrate on other parts and issues it’s a small price to pay to have it looking more acceptable.

Boot trim repair pack ordered so that’ll be next. However it looks like I’m missing a couple of trim pieces; a cover for what I presume is an “oh crap I’ve locked myself in the boot” lever and a cover for the central brake light so I’ll keep an eye out for those.

Very exciting times today...the boot trim repair kit came so fitted that today yay!

I learned that the gap in the middle of the trim is actually a space for a handle which I am missing, as well as missing the brake light cover. Can’t find any on eBay so will have to play the “Volvo 850 breaking” eBay question game I think.

Couple of pics. I have to say the instructions that cane with the kit were useless so watched a video which was a bit better. Also strengthened the areas where the little metal clips have attached with some more metal splints as there were cracks down them. Happy with the result.
