Default How to solve rear window washer not work

As I had a lot of problems with my car I hope this will help you to not
buying again and again new parts (same bad quality) as original.

Rear motor washer start working strange. A little move than stop when you
push it he return ect
...If you have this simptoms this is the problem.

As motor is inside - it was obviously that motor is dry and voila I was shocked that inside of gear was full of water, dust, rust ect...

Why this happened? I was thinking that water came in from main
part taking a washer level but its not true. There was no gasket
or rubber but water (condensate) was produced bcs. complete metal part
entering from outside of the car is going directly to plastic gears.

But I will came back to this point later.

See photos when I open cover. At first I will explain how to open all
to come near electrical gears of rear motor.

First open the trunk of course.

On the door push slightly with scredriver this two holes and pull out cover.

On the other side see light cover put screwdriver and pull slighlty. Why I write allways slightly? As plastic in Volvo is crap and every level, cover, will brake 100% if you use a little more than need.
Almost all levels or plastic parts I broke as they are made from recycled plastic crap in China.

Than push level on light connector and pull it out.

I really dont know why they put connector with 10 Pins?

Lets go back to handle.Remove just lower bolt.

And you can pull all cover without any problem out.

Oustside remove bolt cover and bolt. Take care use wd40 a little
and hold the metal part not whaser plastics to remove bolt.

You can see I add one soft whasher for any case...to not allow water to enter at all.

We are near motor. OK.

Motor support have 3 bolts.
First remove electrical connector out.

Remove cover of gears. This is cover already cleaned and with old gasket but glued a little bit.

When I open this was inside.

Of course grease is on all contacts under the plastic gear and of course this is crap product
from Volvo subcontractors delivering this crap to them. And we are buying spare parts
without any improvement all this years. Just for information this part cost from 260-330 Euro.

Take care when you pull out main gear with handle.
Its under 2 tinny whashers.

Clean all with and dry, get some pressured air inside the motor rotor to clean
all but DO NOT OPEN electrical motor as you will broke tinny metal level.

Put special plastic gear grease on gears and clean contacts good.
I open also the sensor board just to clean it.

PLasstic cover just pull out on 2 sides.

You can see water inside.

Clean contacts, put good electrical contact spray NOT WD40. As WD40 is oily...and dust is likely to stuck on.

Default Improvement

NOTE:

If you wont to improve this part. Please use 1 mm and drill small hole in the lower part of the gear box allowing any condensate water to go out but this will help that inside and outside temperature will be the same and no more condensate will be inside. Proved and tested.
