Yaw sensor fault DTC BCM-0092
Hello all.
I have Brake assist service required msg and amber ligh on dash. On VIDA it says as titled. Where do I start to check, as it occurs to me it won't be ABS ring crack as that would throw ABS service required. Thanks in advance.

Update note, that should be Anti-skid Service Required not Brake assist

You say it's a yaw sensor fault? Go to a junkyard (breakers) and get one.
I learned that the computer program used by salvage yards doesn't include sensors so the monkeys who work there don't bother with them. I find that detached and wasteful. New yaw sensors, when I checked not too long ago, were $650 new from the dealer. One source had a sale at the time for $550. Do the conversion math yourself....it's a lot of money. I asked a junkyard near me to remove one from a car. I had to call 'em back 4 times because they kept forgetting. How stupid can you be? They charged me $100. Yes, $100 for a part they don't even think about but it was better than paying $550-$650. In No. American cars the yaw sensor was under the passenger (OS or driver's side to you in the UK) seat. One hold-down bolt, unplug, plug in replacement and screw the bolt in. Water intrusion (open window or leaking sunroof) is what kills them. Last edited by Georgeandkira; Jul 21st, 2020 at 12:50. |

Thanks.
Living some distance away from a scrapyard (250miles) it is not currently possible to just nip and get one. I have no sunroof so there is no water ingress. I just really need to find out how to be sure it is the actual box of tricks that's thrown a wobbly before purchasing new or 2nd hand.
