The GLT upgrade is quite easy to do, engine wise it's a straight swap from the B200E to the B230E or even a B23E (best volvo engine made), The springs and shocks are an upgrade you can do when it's time for renewel of the old items, and the anti roll bars are the best upgrade you can do, even if you do nothing else these will transform your car, the electric mirrors and electric rear windows are quite easy to do aswell,
I transformed my old DL 1983 into a GLT spec car, and swapped the dash board and interior over in about 36 hours, great fun as it's all simple stuff, I've found with Volvo's the best thing to do is buy one on how good the body is, everything else is upgradeable. On another note I've always felt the Torslanda didn't have enough graphics (a joke for those of you that know me) Regards Andi K If you need any advice about updgading just let me know, I've GLT'd 3 cars now and I'm others have aswell, I believe mike_brace has done one aswell.

I will try and live with the car at present , it is after all a late model plus in damned good condition . I dought if I would find another in this sort of condition with spending a heavy amount of money .
I will leave it as a standard Torslanda spec BUT I really would like some headrest covers in blue ! hint hint to all of you with spares knocking around !! Thanks so much for replying to my thread in saying that its a nice car etc.... |

Well cap did you ever get round to measuring the anti roll bars?? I know it's been wet.Somebody must know if the last 240's had GLT sized bit's on.I will measure mine tomorrow!If it's not to wet!!!! Oh and I reckon you don't have a Torslanda! You just put pictures out of the advertising brochure on here.It's just to damn clean and new looking.More pictures please as I'm still enjoying it lot's.
