T5 LPG Conversion
Hi,
My 2004 T5 is great and until now I have not had to pay for fuel. However, circs change and I now need to look at the economy so am considering LPG conversion. Would anyone give their experiences and advice. I always thought turbo engines were more difficult to get right but am I wrong? How much will the performance be affected? Can you recommend a converter in the South of England? Thanks for any help at all really! Cheers, A |

Have a crack atthe "SEARCH' function for LPG, it'll give you all the threads previously written on the subject....
Shouldn't be a problem with the fuel in a turbo, i belive it generally has a high RON of 105 to 110 so won't cause detonation etc.... All the best |

How many miles a year do you do m8, I do about 16k and it would be about a year and a half before I would break even on an LPG conversion on my T5.

V70 T5 LPG Conversion
Hi
I have V70 T5 which is converted to LPG The car does misfire at high speed when driving hard but to be fair I have been to busy to get it checked in the cold weather the car is liable to stall when it changes over from petrol to gas if you are in a traffic jam The gas system should be serviced once a year cost about £100 The good points LPG is half the cost of petrol also as yours is a newer car than mine tell DVLA of the conversion and you pay less road tax also if you travel in to London and register the car (£10 fee I understand) it is exempt from congestion charge |
