940 springs shocks and anti roll bars
hi all
I'm just wondering what people are running as far as the tittle goes. Having a lot of body roll aswell as when sliding the volvo it tends to snatch and sometimes get a fuel tank slapper. |

What is the mileage and have you changed anything?
If it hasn't been replaced the dampers, springs and ARB droplink are probably tired. |

Classicswede does lowered stiffened springs, and adjustable Gaz shocks. I prefer Bilstein sports shocks.
I had Cobra progressive springs before, but they were very harsh, they eventually snapped (after 10yrs or so) and I got the classicswede linear springs which were a much better compromise. If you have the nivomat self leveling shocks they will be pretty dangerous by now for spirited driving, you need to swap shock and springs to a conventional setup...unless you want to pay £1000 for new shocks. |

Its done 112k and I have put Bilstine b4 on rear everything else is standard. Apart from a g80 and a mbc. . When I got the car it had on the rear some airbags and oik filled shocks with a tyre valve and gauge in the boot to pump it up. But I replaced them with b4 s as they never held air. Just wanted to know what springs and shocks people are running. Any drift lads maybe ?

I'd start with some 40mm lowering springs then as that will stiffen it up. Look in to some thicker anti roll bars too, IPD do some very thick solid ones that apparently eliminate all the body roll, I'm saving up for them as it comes to about £350 posted from USA for them.

Fronts should be fairly easy too, a couple of nylon clamps on the side to side section of the bars and modified drop links to fit one above the other. Alternatively cut off the mounting eyes and use a second set of clamps to hold the ends together. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hydraulic...m/164312834518 That's the idea i mean, they're surprisingly strong for what they are! Would be a cheaper experiment than $450 or whatever it may be.

The Viking fab under chassis brace that I bought recently will help a lot as well. It's a cracking piece of kit.
