NGK Spark Plugs
Just wondering if anyone has used these spark plugs in their non-turbo 10v engine. On paper they are compatible but just want to make sure as I will be ordering these online and I don’t think they will take them back once used.

£10 for OE plugs without a pointless blue bag.
Click Job jobbed. To also answer the original question, yes those plugs will be a perfectly fine replacement.

Thanks guys,
I wasn't sure about the Bosch FR7DC+ as I couldn't find it listed anywhere as being compatible (Volvo p/n 8642660) with non-turbo. I found a cheaper Volvo ones for £20.70 and ordered them.

Firstly, always check your owners manual. FR7DC was the original plug fitted to these cars, FR7DC+ is the exact same plug but with slightly longer life electrodes (more yttrium, mainly). The FR7DC+ is the plug in the blue packet
Secondly, those lists aren't always comprehensive. For example, if in your link you then click for compatible plugs to the Denso K20TT (which is in the list of compatible plugs for that Volvo part number), then you get a much more larger list, in which the FR7DC+ can be found. At the end of the day, if its an M14x1.25 thread, with 19mm threadreach, and a hexsize of 16mm then it will be compatible. If you stick to a known brand (NGK, Denso, Champion, Bosch) then they'll all be perfectly fine.

Thanks Cookeh. Never thought of checking the handbook.

I have had little joy with Bosch plugs yet the Volvo plugs (made by Bosch are always fine)
I tend to just stick to NGK and use the BKR6ES |
