As for driving over, by the time you got out of your village from everything you've said so far, it would be running normally. This time of year a solar charger will put very little if anything in thanks to a distinct lack of sun.
One of these batteries

This charger doesn't appear need direct sunlight, i tested it prior to fitting, from inside the kitchen facing north, it still fired out over 12v, it was el'cheapo so if it makes no difference then no harm done

Looks like a standard lead-acid and definitely powerful enough battery! I use the same people for batteries as well.

The charger needs to put out at least 14V once connected, open-circuit voltage can be as high as 18V even in cloud but once on load (connected to the battery) that can drop considerably.

It was 7C at 6am this morning, the car started on its own without any farting whatsoever, it didn't miss even the smallest of beats.

It was a little slower than I would have liked but it was faster than normal. poss due to getting some charge from the solar would be better if it was up against the screen and not laid on the dash mind lol Also, there may not be anything wrong with the battery at all and it could be the starter.... will worry about that once I know the misfire has been 100% resolved

I did, however, put it in neutral 1st, that prob aided the quicker start.

If you prop the solar panel up facing south it may make some small difference on sunny days. Interesting that in the warmer days (where over-fueling isn't needed as much for consistent running) it seems to fire and run like it should but also that the EasyStart helped it on the coler days.

A definite pointer towards fuel from what i see at the moment, however as we both know, this has thrown some curved balls before so time and testing is the only answer for now until we get a definite theory that can be proved or otherwise such as those two injectors.

Have you had a chance to meter those glow plugs yet?

Thing is, I didn't try to start the car after I replaced the bisch plugs, the next time was with the easy start, there is one other thing I forgot I did to, could be a major factor, I bought some more injector cleaner, I used the full bottle on a 1/3 of a tank fuel......

Will check the plugs in a bit, keep forgetting :/

The injector cleaner might be doing something - would be interesting to give it a few days and then run VIDA again when it's hot to see if the injector/cylinder fuel correction/rpm figures have improved.

Would you believe that i still forgot to check the "new plugs". in my defense, i blame NCIS, recently got started on it and boy am i hooked, 18 seasons to get through, what a marathon eh? then there is NCIS New Orleans and Los Angeles I will try to remember today.

I did however have no issues with starting at all yesterday. I mean, there was no farting at all, not even slightly, and also, it turned over fast too, only took a few turn-overs. I am putting the latter down to the solar charger, there was a fair bit more sun the day before to give it some extra charge, even though it will charge some in dull conditions, also forgot to say the other day, the car faces south in the car port.

Guess which one is not as it should be?

Wrong, all apart from far left are 0.8ohm, far left is 2.4ohm, as to why #2 is black, well, you tell me?

Having dived a little deeper, these new plugs are 11v
My Bosch plugs are only 4.4v......
