Default Sticking handbrake

For a couple of months now my handbrake has been really quite difficult to put down at times, but this morning after work I had to sit for 5 minutes pushing and hitting the button for anything to happen. Any ideas what could fix it? Cheers!

Either a gummed up caliper or seized handbrake cable.

I would suggest giving everything a good clean in case that is enough before replacing any parts. Sometimes the cable can be coaxed into moving more easily with a bit of penetrating oil however this is unlikely to be a long term fix.

Its seems to be more of a ratchet issue i think but I'll give that a shot. Cheers mate!
