  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default Posting a sound file

Good evening one and all.
Can someone please edumacate me in the dark art of posting a sound file?
I have an engine sound I urgently need diagnosing

Hello there , your quickest way would be to create a zip file , plenty of free to use programs to make zip file . Take the sound file , zip it and then use attachment feature ( paper clip symbol ) to upload to site . I would also provide an explanation of what the zip file refers too as some people may well be wary of opening such a file

Alternatively, take a video of it (landscape mode please, not portrait!) with your mobile phone, upload it to YouTube and use the Share link then post the link on your post.

Landscape mode will pick up a larger area of the screen and may enable someone to spot something making contact with something it shouldn't for example.
