Xc70 T6 oil consumption

Hi, I'm new to Volvos, and looking into buying an xc70 t6. Been doing some digging and this problem of excessive oil consumption keeps coping up. Does anyone have any experience of this, or know a bit more about it? The cause, or if it effects all model years, engine codes etc. Thanks in advance.

Probably a blocked breather , lack of maintenance ...

You might be better asking the same question in the 'Volvo Performance Cars' sub-forum - there seems to be more T6 owners over there that are better placed to advise you.
I know people only tend to complain about their cars when they go wrong, but a quick google did seem to show quite a few T6 owners with issues of high oil consumption ( and sometimes catastrophic engine damage) that would at least make me think twice about buying one unless it had a stellar service history and a substantial warranty.

Having said that,I'd still be envious if you find a good one!
