A couple of inaccuracies but overall very good!

It was a 363CS not 343CS and I'm forgetting what the other one was.

They had an R Sport tuning kit for the B14 in 1981 , about 15 bhp extra ..

He was referring to the one with the B28 engine

Or are you saying about an inaccuracy?

Just an additional fact , I fitted these kits on 2 343's back then .

Yes the Alfa transaxle , they had the twin plate clutch on the front of the transaxle rather than on the engine flywheel , They might as well have fitted the Alfa 3 litre V6 whilst they were at it :-)

Completely agree they should have used the Alfa engine.

My brother had a twin spark 75 and we polybushed the entire transaxle assembly and I have a feeling it was inboard brakes so we did those while the assembly was out.

Yes my other brother went through about 8 alfasuds and restored a couple, they were much more readily available and a lot less rotten in New Zealand.

He also had a couple of 33's and fitted the 1.7 engines in to the suds.

He also had a couple of 164s including the 24v Cloverleaf

the 3.0 164 was a nice car but had quite bad road manners and torque steer. I was pulling up a hill in the wet once at about 50 mph and accelerating, the right front wheel ran over a man hole cover and the whole car veered right about a meter ... !

Conpletely agree, the torque steer was ridiculous in them.
