Default CZIP Retrofit.

I have a couple of questions about the Clean Air Interior Package.

1st what is everyone’s experience with it? Good or no good?
2nd Does it stop functioning after 4 years. Or just a lower blower speed?
3rd can you retrofit this with software application: 31288958?

I’am curious about all answers, before I may ask my dealer to retrofit, if even possible to do so.

Thanks for any input.

You’ll possibly find out in another 6 months 😊

Thanks for the reply’s.

I really don’t understand this 4 year timespan ether.
Does it mean it quite’s? Or does it keeps running at lower speed?
No one really knows, even dealers don’t have the answer.
Also where is the 4 years countered from, the application download or manufacturing's date?

But if everyone who does it have in the car is happy about it.
I may install this as retrofit. I believe it will help in summertime in cooling down the car. And I see this as an extra over the remote A/C start with the VOC App.

I will ask the dealer if a retrofit is possible.
Keep in touch with this post. And hope for more answers.

Thanks.

Hi unless they can do an upgrade for this tottaly free of charge , I would suggest you should not bother with it .
The fan is only switched on when you unlock the car and switches off as soon as the door starts to open so it runs for no more than 2-3 seconds . As a test yesterday I let it run without opening the door and it stopped after 10 seconds.
I also should make it clear that it does not do it at every unlock. I have to say it seems a bit useless

Today my car was at the dealer for my annual checkup.
Noting wrong with it luckily. I also asked about this CZIP upgrade.
The dealer checked and told me the installation price was €20 (£17,17).

For that I agreed to have it installed. Is it worth it?
Don’t really know, but this price is worth a try in mine opinion.

Let’s see what is does in summertime.

Thanks again for all input.
