XC90 D5 - 2008 Cylinder Head
XC90 D5 - 2008 Cylinder Head replacement
Help I've just had a oil leak checked by my garage and he's showed me my cylinder head has had a botch job fix (liquid metal). Could someone give me details of the best place to go to source a replacement Cylinder head. There seems to be varying prices differences when checking eBay / Google. I bought the car from a dealer just over 2 months ago, so I'm going back to him for compensation under the Consumer Right Act. Thanks in adance for any advice, support. |

I would liaise with the dealer first and give them the opportunity to correct the problem - it is possible that they were completely unaware of it and are also "victims" in this.

Don't tell them that you've had someone else look at it, that'll have a big impact on your rights.

Thanks after going through numerous threads on here and speaking to a couple of other Volvo speacialist it seems my problem could be the swirl arm and gasket. I pointed in the direction of Read View Volvo specialist in Accrington so have it booked in for the 17th March. I'll update after that.........

Swirl flaps / gasket was the cause and Read View Volvo fixed that and a number of other issues at very reasonable cost.
Excellent team, very knowledgeable and excellent customer service. |
