Default Wet in the boot and how to peel the film from the doors?

Hi guys,

I have an old Volvo s80 2004 (facelift model).

I was wondering what is the best way to peel the film? It seems under the film there is a nice shiny color. By taking away film it would give a second life to the car. Not to mention, it's difficult to peel it, can I use some kind of heat gun to remove it?

There is a vent in the boot. I could see that water gets through somehow at the bottom of the plastic vent. Somehow it gets through by few water drops. But it's enough on a rainy day to get enough water in the boot.

Is it possible to remove that went without taking the rear bumper apart? Can I just use water silicone to seal the vent?

Regards

Dont get the painted part too hot else you will scorch the paint/lacquer, heat gun should work just fine though, keep away from any window rubbers too

The heat gun didn't work. Everything around becomes super hot. But the film stays strong as stone.

Perhaps the last option is to try to put some other film over the old one.

did you try the rubbing alcohol? maybe acetone? (nail polish remover) which works really well for cleaning the base of our 3d printer when it's covered in bits of dried on plastic etc..

try somewhere inconspicuous first obviously
