Default 2001 V70 Electrical Door Issue

Hi All,

New to the forum, but I've been a long time user of info gleaned from the site

Since I've bought my V70 I've had an issue wherein the rear passenger door (left) will not unlock / open electronically. In order to open the door for checks & MOT, I've had to remove the door card, pop the lock from the inside & disconnect the harness connected to the lock unit which leaves me able to open/close the door but unable to use central locking. Once the MOT passed, I reconnected it.

When electronically engaging the central locking, the door lock motor does engage, but it won't open the lock. To try and resolve the issue, I've replaced the lock unit & the door loom (haven't tried the loom within the b-post) to no avail. I've also checked the rear door modules in the rear of the vehicle & they are all working fine.

Having recently done a search of the vehicles VIN number for an eBay purchase, I discovered that this issue has been mentioned in the MOT history. Replacing the loom, I also discovered that this had been replaced with an aftermarket part.

I've also had a professional read the diagnostics, reset them & rescan which throws up the following codes;

6A01 - Rear Left Door Unlocked. Signal Too High
6A03 - Rear Left Door Locked. Signal Too Low
1A53 - Communication with the Passenger Door Module (PDM) - Signal Missing
1D02 - Control Module, Software. Internal Fault

I've done a bit of digging with these codes, but I'm no further forward. Any ideas?

TIA!
