Default '06 P2 Mirror motors?

Hi All,

My '06 V70 remote mirror controls are very slow and jerky in operation and not working on all axis.

The mirrors are also remotely retractable and this function is working perfectly.

Am I right in thinking this means replacing the motor assemblies, or can they be repaired?

Cheers!

Smile mirror mirror on the P2

Do you mean the mirror tilt/axis moving? not the folding function?

Ild try removing the mirror to see if you have anything obstructing the movement, heres a pic of the rear of a P2 mirror from memory you slide in one direction then you can release it (if heated will have a couple of wires) onto the mirror itself a handy catch all if you accidentally drop it !

Do your mirrors have the memory function - ie do they re-adjust themselves when you set the seat position? if yes, then check to see if they are 'jerky' when you set the seats. If they are not, then you can rule out the motors and investigate the switches.

Also - are both mirrors affected? It would be unlikely that both motors would fail at the same time.
