Default Air conditioning hose

Hi all,

I have a broken air conditioning hose (part 8687569) which runs from the compressor, underneath the radiator fan and up the front to the condenser.

As it is a high pressure hose and is broken off right where the rubber hose goes in to one of the steel crimped bits, a new or used part is the only option. My only worry is they look a bit of a pig to change particularly on the condenser side of things.

Has anyone else attempted this or am I best off saving my sanity and giving a new part to a garage to do?

Here is a used one, doesn't look perfect but if it works, it works, and having checked prices they are eye wateringly expensive from Volvo. From experience somewhere like Pirtek wouldn't be much if at all cheaper

Thanks all

There's no telling how old a P2 chassis car the used one was removed from.
Your broken one is 19 years old. A used one for 25GBP at least, is fairly priced.
However, a new one is "only" $153 from Tascaparts.com.
How much in the UK?

I can only find new ones at Volvo, both FRF with discount code and my local Marshall are well over £100. Aftermarket ones seem to be unavailable in this country and I can't risk buying from abroad where cheaper ones are available as I have no idea how much import tax I will have to pay.

If Pirtek or another similar hose manufacturing service will make one I'd bet they would be a similar price, Pirtek's prices are huge.
