Anyone tried this on an 850 or V70? I cant use a 17 inch as it wont fit in the wheel well with the 7 seat arrangement on my 850.

check if the 17 in space saver is any bigger the overall diameter may be the same due to the low profile of the skinny tire .

Nope

16s dont fit if you're running 302s.

Too big sadly. First thing I tried was my old C70 17inch spacesaver. Its about 30 mm too big and won't clear the 7 seat brackets that intrude slightly into the wheel well. Bah! And there isn't a low enough profile tyre available for a 17 inch to overcome that.

Frankly I can't see the problem? OK, punctures don't happen in August, it'll be 2am on a cold February, yet changing a wheel front-to-back still isn't made much worse. Punctures are pain anyway. And if we're really are going get 'big girl's blouse' about it, find a full-size steel rim to shove in there.

However, if we're not prepared to use the specified tyre for its design purpose...

Taken to its conclusion, all of us require immediate advice. This one warrants hours of pondering.
