Front wing replacement.
2000 S40 T4
The car is probably going to need a new front wing due to corrosion right through. Can these be changed bolts only without any cutting or welding? Thanks. Ross.

Yes, they are only held by bolts. No welding at all anywhere. Most bolts will come out ok, with the exception of the one near the front of the wing, where it meets the bumper, very near the front part of the will arch. The bracket where the bolts mounts is very thin and most probably rotten, it will be quite hard to undo it without bending or breaking that bracket. If it is not too bad, it might help if you use vice grips, to hold the square "nut" just behind that bracket, while undoing the bolt. Oh and lots of WD40 might be needed. The good news is that even if the bracket is rotten or bent, it doesn't really matter, as it won't make a massive difference to how the wing is sitting on the car. I personally chose not to put a bolt through it and it hasn't been an issue 6 years later. Hope this helps
