They may be unobtanium but there are firms put there that will make close replicas, and compared to OE dealer prices thwyre not expensive. Sure they'll be included to make only one mat though.

hi 4X4, Indeed, I was thinking about front passenger mat from a left hooker. Not sure it would fit but perhaps worth looking.

Hi Biggsy, nothing to lose by researching a custom made mat. Perhaps look for front passenger mat from ebay.de, ebay.es and ebay fr.
4x4`s idea of a rear mat will work. Good luck.jack |

A friend of mine had a set made for his classic Ford. Better quality than stock Volvo. Very thick heavy things.... quality faultless. Incongrous in a Ford, reckon a bit wrong?
£110 odd is not cheap, but not too pricey. Used his old mats as template. it'd cost near that to bring a new set in from the US anyway. Courier + Duty + Import charges + Admin + VAT blah... Those were done by an outfit in Milton Keynes, found on eBay. The anoraks will say they're not Volvo, and they're not, and only they care. Expect to get mine done soon.

I expect 'the outfit in Milton Keynes' is Autostyle (or one of his ebay alternate personae, Patern One, Mr Top Mats) and I have to declare an interest that they are friends of mine, I've not yet had the need to order any mats for a car so it's good to hear that CNG's comments on the quality (and before anyone asks, no I haven't been offered mates rates or sponsorship etc). Unfortunately I've just tried their website and the Volvo page comes up as an error [editV] but looking at the other marques shows what they can do. I know they are very careful about copyright infrigement so you probably will not get 'Volvo', the Volvo iron symbol, or the stylised R, but you could have your own personalised design.
If you're looking for a concours effect in mats personally I'd say it either needs to be new, which are not available, or a matching set as close as possible to original; washing, dying or replacing just one mat has a high potential to look odd. edit- messaged them so hopefully they can get it back up
