Cam seal replacement... VVT issue
Hello All,
I have locked up the cams and removed the VVT (exhaust pulley) 2004 2.0 petrol C70. When I placed the cam lock on the VVT pulley moved back and forth as expected, made paint marks and removed. Took out the cam oil seal, placed the new one in and now...... The VVT does not want to move back and forth when tightened down! does this happen when the VVT is knacked? Want the car back on the road! please help! |

It seems that the part provided by "Parts for Volvos online" had the incorrect ID on the VVT cam seal. I have since sourced another from Euro Carparts and it fits a treat. I did have to destroy the new seal getting it out though! what a nightmare! Check the ID against the old when when replacing! I didn't, what a school boy error. |
