See pics above could not really see up to the turbo could not feel any splits / cracks or looseness on the hard plastic pipe leading up the back of the engine found oil in that area

I followed that pipe back to the intercooler and found a split on the pipe pictured which is a result concerned about the oil though unfortunately had to use the side up on kerb school of mechanics to do this so was not ideal conditions to explore the oil going to order the pipe see if that at least fised the whooshing unsure of how to proceed on the oil issue

I had similar oil when my orange seal failed (it was torn on the resonator pipe, but I had to dismantle before I spotted it.)

New orange seal and oil mess cleaned up .... didn't have the problem after.

Dbl check the intercooler as well, it can also cause a woosh sound ... but it more likely has lots of oil smoke as well.

Hopefully the split in the inter cooler pipe I found is the culprit but will double check everything I can see and touch

I don’t suppose you know the part number for the seal or is it a common sized seal I can get ?

So bodged the split pipe with Gorilla tape and some PVC till my replacement pipe comes tomorrow there are no other leaks I have cleaned up all the oil from the orange seal I tried to separate but it seemed like it would be a bitch to get back in again and did not fancy it trying to resolve half on the kerb so going to see if it is the source before proceeding but once I know I will for sure want the seal many thanks

It also flagged the soot warning again and went into limp so I ran it our for an hour Italian tune up style and it cleared on the journey and had not flagged again after another 30 mins or so journey *touch wood* that is it gone going to go for a big motorway run to make sure once new pipe is fitted tomorrow

Now how to clear the engine system service required is there any recommended OBD tools ?
