Apologies if this has been posted before, but does all new Volvos come with Apple Carplay installed as standard?
Noticed on the configurator there is an option for "smartphone integration"

I believe you still have to select this as an option to get it built with the car. It can be retrofitted by your dealer, though, costing only a little more than it costs as a factory-fit option.

Only the elderly vehicles still running sensus. Android automotive we are waiting to receive an update.

"Wireless Apple CarPlayTM 1)" has been removed in Edition 6a of the 2022 XC60 pricelist.

Its footnote of: "1) Some features will be launched during 2021" is still present, though, so wonder if this means that Wireless Apple CarPlay is no longer in the pipeline as well as all the other bits that seem to be disappearing off the spec list?

For anyone who has taken delivery of a 2022 XC60, does it even have wired Apple CarPlay?

I will be extremely cheesed off if CarPlay doesn’t materialise in some form. I contacted Volvo customer services to check that the MY22 models with the google system would have CarPlay, and was assured they would.

I can’t actually see any mention of CarPlay or Android Auto in the price list - unless I’ve gone entirely blind? That seems to me more like a typo that anything else…

The part you mentioned about the footnote only relates to the Volvo app and nothing else.

The reference quoted was from previous editions of the price & specification list; subsequently removed in 6a.

The footnote made sense when the corresponding line about Apple CarPlay was present.

Ah I see. I think it’s a mistake. They wouldn’t just remove the Apple CarPlay or android Auto options unless they want a lot of p*ssed off customers on their back…
