Groundhog day?

a. This one is about the same age, a little bit cheaper and from a dealer (which might afford some small consumer protection): https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1243906

b. This motor car is again about the same age, a grand or so cheaper but otherwise similar: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1356881

c. Just to put everything in balance, this is the Wellingbrorough motor car that Andrew mentioned above. It is quite a bit more expensive but otherwise similar - but there again it has been advertised for sale for over a year: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1375693
... so we get back to the previous conclusion: the motor car isn't a bargain, but it isn't overpriced by much (perhaps it should be £4,500).

B and c have rust. B from pics I have been sent looks like it’s had the passenger side cill replaced, you can just make out in the pice on c&c that the lower black trim by the rear arch is missing. I think from memory, it was 3 or 4 weeks ago I enquired, the cill trim is also missing on that side. It’s really not as nice as it looks. I think from memory C has rust repairs on mot sheet. A looks like a decent car, I’m quite tempted by that to be fair, they aren’t bothered if they sell it though, so no deal to be had!

... first hand knowledge is invaluable, well done.

I'm surprised you are interested in the Wellingborough motor car - it seems too expensive for what it is (and from memory there was some talk of a rust repair underneath - I can't recall the detail).

Hah, I was inquisitive in the Wellingborough one, at that price I though it was going to be mint, so had a look at mot history and straight away put off! The price is to high whatever!

Mot history said that filler was rendering it impossible to check on sill damage repair.
Also, when I phoned,l was told it was part of the garage owner's collection.
They also told me £7k had been turned down!
