Enhanced the looks by adding Tors alloys, really? Mine would be enhanced by removing them.

Tors wheels are excellent and deserve to be on a Tors.

GLT Virgo are a monstrous stalinist era industry style but sadly are associated with the GLT. If I remember correctly, there is a sleeker classier version available.

Omega, the last word in wheels, are what Volvo should have fitted as standard to the SE.

Other opinions are available.

I have noticed. One or more members are wedded to the perceived importance of historic status. Even when discussing cars of that era of questionable condition and/or lacking encouraging independent objective e.g. MOT HISTORY .... Anyone with such an old car might be wise to consider having regular MOT done, not least for objective safety.

... as was discussed above, I wonder what happened to the original parts (such as the Virgo wheels)?

I have told you previously that it is none of your darn business whether I (or anyone else for that matter) have my historic registered motor car or motorcycle MoT tested.

If you don't like historic vehicles being tax or MoT test exempt then you should petition the government to change the law (or perhaps glue your arse to the M25 in protest with a banner saying 'historic motor cars and motorcycles must be taxed and MoT tested' or some similar catchy phrase). Perhaps the media attention will persuade the nanny state you are indeed right and the rest of the nation is wrong.

Ho hum.

Alan

.... just because your opinions differ.

But do you feel inclined to answer any points made?

I would defend your right to continue to express your opinions as to cars offered for sale and personal opinions as to sellers ... I have no idea if those are any of you or indeed my business.

It might be helpful to keep the forum as a, conversation.

They are horrid to clean and look small. Strange, I think it's car specific as my old Capri has 13" wheels but look 'right'.

Dragos are over-rated and priced accordingly. I have a set of the much nicer, IMHO, Dracos to go on when I get around to it.

On a more emotional note have you seen the sweetheart that's just appeared on fleabay. It's in Portsmouth.
Poor little chap needs a friend!

I must check my oestrogen levels. When I've had a good cry!

… I particularly like the radio in the glove box :-)

PS. It is slightly surprising that motor car passed an MoT test only 5 weeks ago….
