Default Radio/Media No Sound

Hi All

I took delivery of a MY22 XC60 today from a leasing company. I imagine I will need to speak to my local dealer about this tomorrow but thought I would check on here in case I’m being stupid!

I don’t seem to be getting any sound from the radio or when playing music over Bluetooth. The speakers are working as navigation instructions are fine, but when I select a radio station and press the play icon I get no sound… adjusting the volume doesn’t make any difference, but I can see the volume indicator going up and down…

Am I missing something? Or is a visit to the dealer required?

Thanks
Stu

This may sound stupid but on my new XC60 22my, you don’t need to press play. Once you select the radio station it just starts, maybe by pressing the play button you’re actually pausing it. With the Bluetooth make sure under the individual phone settings within the Bluetooth settings that the music icon is highlighted in blue if not press it and it should work.

Default Same on XC90

Had the same issue, which is the volume getting stuck in the Satnav setting. Had to leave it overnight to sort itself out. Software bug

Thanks for the replies guys.

Still no joy unfortunately so have booked it in with my local dealer to be looked at.

If they advise that there was something i could have done to fix it then i will post it on here in case anyone else has the same issue in future!

Managed to get it working.

A youtube video someone just posted about had a comment about how to reset the android system, did that and it worked!

All you need to do is hold down the middle button beneath the screen for 20 seconds to get it to reset.

Thank you. I have the same problem on my XC60 recharge which has just been delivered. Your fix corrected the problem.

The Person doing the PDI is supposed to tune the radio in to various stations and ensure it's working ok ....

That's good to know. I've found the system to be generally very buggy...

I’m glad it’s been helpful for some of you!

I think I have had to run this reset 3 times since taking delivery 3 months ago. Twice for the radio and once because the climate control system stopped working, I could change the temperature on screen, change fan speed etc but nothing was physically coming out of the vents.

Fortunately it’s a fairly straight forward fix each time. I’m hoping there will be an update soon to make it more reliable and add in some much needed missing functionality!
